i am amazed how the ground shifted and suddenly boys came out of everywhere, and most of the female participants withdrew. i seemingly participated in this shift, though it's not what i intended. what happened?

Well, the topics shifted to men (again). And the tone of the discussion shifted towards debate rather than discovery (yawn).

i agree. i'd like to be part of the solution, even if it means not saying anything and just listening. sorry you were alienated from this tribe, which after all, should be a bastion for you.

Non discussion is the wrong direction to go. That is to sya, while i do get frustrated sometimes, at the males in the world "supporting" feminism, the reality is that it's an important aspect of any chance for equality. sad as it is to say, subjugated always need the subgeator to help break the bonds.

        opnions on topics are good.

shifting topics to what men need, what men want out of feminims, is where i bang my head.

in the past, there was pretty much very little traffic to this tribe of any sort. i'd really like to see women take the lead on discussions much more and men contributing reasonably. i think we can make this tribe a cool place to be, where we can swim in the deep waters of feminist philosophy and support each other with our varying needs and challenges related to recovering from out-of-date and simplistic gender and sexual programs.

as you are aware- if you don't want men in the tribe and you have a penis, withdraw your self. i agree that the type of dialogue should be explorative and cooperative but honestly, i want to see MORE men on this thread- men have miles of work to do compared to women.

then they can go to a men's board. cause i'm not really sure what "men having miles of work to do" has to do with feminist philosophy.
