    Buffy Kicks Some ASS.

I don't know about feminism, but she's able to whoop up on those darned vampires, cept when she's goign all girly like, and falling in love with them. Course she did use the crap out of Spike on many an occassion, and showed us that sex for sex's sake is quite good. so that can't be all bad.

confession: i have seen every episode ever made, wear a "buffy lives" t-shirt, and am reading the newly released season 8 in comic book form. i think it is the most feminist tv show of all time.

I'd be hard pressed to find a main stream TV show from the US that is more feminist. I'm going to think about that for a while, though. cuase Buffy still has a ways to go in that "sterotype" dept. Oh, Zena is pretty good, herself. ;-)

(my confession, i only really started watching when spike got "chipped" and what's her name came out lesbian, and we got Dawn -- i really liked the maturity of the writing at this point. iv'e seen some of the earli eps, when they are on rerun, and they are ... just not me.)

          other candidates include:

          sex and the city
          the L word
          wonder woman
          the bionic woman
          desperate housewives

and hey, i don't watch tv, so what do i know? i rented buffy....

I was going to say sex and the city, but surprisingly i find that it just reinforces all the old sterotypes. Women think they need a man, then think they don't need a man, then think they do need a man. Women are ficke. and we must have shoes. (actually, i've only seen 3 or 4 eps, and hated them, so what do i know).

            never seen L word.

Ahh "superjamie" (the french translation of her name). That woman could rock AND she had great hair. wonder woman is apparently quite the feminist and feminist icon in teh comic book.

desperate housewivers is another that the 4 eps i've seen are so hyper sterotypical, hyper soap opera.

How bout so called "ladies basketball"
